  • The Client

    Austratus is an innovative architectural timber supplier. Their timber systems offer the sophisticated look of an architectural wall or ceiling and the ease of an off-the-shelf product. As a result, their patented modular clip in timber ceilings, walls, and screens are coveted by the likes of HiSmile, ABN AMRO, and LJ Hooker.

    Austratus came to us as a new brand and subsidiary of our existing client Cedar Sales, a timber manufacturer.

  • The Objective

    Their objective was to increase free search traffic and leads, while securing their place as a key player in the Australian architectural timber space.

  • The Challenge

    The Austratus website was brand new and had not undergone any SEO work. Considering that the company was new, there was also little branded search traffic to take advantage of.

  • The Solution

    We kick-started the website’s traffic with paid advertising. In the meantime, we built the right SEO foundations. Beginning with keyword research, we uncovered the high opportunity keywords that could bring valuable search traffic to their website.

    We then optimised the on-page copy by ensuring that the content was highly relevant to these keywords. We also built links within local directories to boost visibility, relevant local traffic, and rankings.

    New landing pages were then built, with high-quality information and keyword-rich content. For the icing on the cake, we ensured that their website’s technical SEO was spot on to ensure that Google could crawl and index it effectively. With time, ongoing optimisations, and persistence we have achieved strong results.

The Result

Austratus went from 10% of their overall site traffic coming from free search listings (Jan – Mar 17) to almost 50% (Jan-Mar 19). Rather than relying on the bulk of their traffic being paid for, they can enjoy the credibility and visibility first page Google rankings.
