Alpha Digital has won The Best Use of Data in a Search Campaign for their work with Petbarn at the 2019 SEMRUSH awards.
In the face of fierce competition and online pureplay competitors, we recently found new ways to drive revenue through paid search. We started combining (once disparate) 1st and 3rd party data sets to target both high opportunity keywords and customers through paid search.
Petbarn’s onsite customer interactions and customer loyalty program data were layered in our Google Ads campaigns. By feeding Google’s AI-driven automated bidding with enriched customer profiles, we could make smarter bidding decisions and increase Petbarn’s return on ad spend by 134%.
The search strategy was led by Chris Lockwood and we are ecstatic to announce the win alongside Petbarn. Our award-winning campaign also received the following nominations this year.
